Position and Role[]
Captain of the Vanguard is one of two Captain positions within the Ignean Salamanders. The other is the Master of Molten Armaments. Captain of the Vanguard is accountable and leader of the Companies Veterans, which includes Terminators, Assault Terminators, Sternguard Veterans, Dreadnaughts and Centurions.
The position is regarded largely as the joint 3rd most powerful in the Company, behind Company Master and Chief Librarian. The position is as highly regarded as the Master of Molten Armaments.

Captain Dean Toi[]
Captain Dean Toi is the incumbent Captain of the Vanguard and is very vocal and at times argumentative. However his skills in combat are only second to He'Sept, the Company Master. He is currently leading a campaign against a Daemonic invasion.
Dean Toi is the incumbent Captain of the Vanguard of the Ignean Salamanders.
